MISS KENYA IN POLAND

Among the candidates to the Miss World contest, who since some days are hosted in Warsaw is the beauty from Kenya - Khadijah Shamillah Kiptoo.

As we can read on the official website of the Miss Worl contests (www.missworld.com) "Khadijah was born in Nakuru and brought up in the capital, Nairobi, where she has worked as cabin crew and as a model, she is currently working as a Customer Care Representative. Her ambition is to continue her education and to become a Psychologist and recognised model. To date Khadijah has done a commercial for a drinking chocolate company, fashioned for magazines and participated on the catwalk at the Kenya Cultural Show. Hobbies and leisure interests are: reading, socialising, writing, cooking, belly dancing, and most sports including: football, running, volleyball and tennis.

Her future hopes are that her Government will work out a policy to eradicate hunger, poverty and sickness. She has joined the fight against rape and sexual related abuses, her hopes are that with her actions she will be able to change many women’s lives before she has to give the crown back.

We were informed by the TV reporters that the weeks spent in Poland have the extra meaning for Miss Kenya, for whom it’s the first abroad trip in her life.
