On January 23, 2006, representatives of Polish Embassy in Kenya, at the head of Ambassador Wojciech Jasiński, KPF representatives with vice-chairman Robert Zduńczyk and Polish tourists relaxing in Kenya, thanks to direct charter flights Warsaw-Mombassa, were participating in grand opening of Serani Primary School renovated building.

This building was renovated thanks to Polish governmental grant and a huge effort for gaining and exploiting it properly, provided by Polish Embassy and Reshadi Noor- KPF member, Polish honorary consul in Mombassa and a graduate from Polish college.

Serani Primary School isn't the only primary school in Mombassa region, but the only one with such a eminent graduates. Within the grant a few schoolrooms were renovated and a library, which have been named after Adam Mickiewicz. Meeting with children from Serani Primary School was a huge experience for Polish children spending in Kenya their winter break- they had a direct possibility to compare peers school conditions with their own.

School in Mombassa and thousands of other schools need current help, also yours if it's possible, because necessity is enormous. Every exercise book, book and box of crayons counts. Besides there is possibility for co-working with several schools through mail exchange, information for school papers exchange- and maybe in future even holiday pupil exchange. We invite all interested one's.

Soon there will be viewed a short photo report from this event.
