EURIZONS- EUROPEAN TOUR FOR GLOBAL RESPONSIBILITY

At the turn of August and September 2006 European network of non-government organizations dealing with, for example, global and developmental education- Global Education Network (www.glen-europe.org) is organizing campaign supported by media in seven European countries: Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany and France.

I will be a tournee in aid of increasing awareness and raising European society knowledge level about issues taken up within global and developmental education . We will try to achieve this mostly through information about Millennium Development Goals(http://www.un.org.pl/rozwoj/).

A group of 30-40 young people will hitch-hiking from Riga to Strasbourg, for 16 days routing and participating actively in cultural events organized earlier in appointed cities. Hitch-hikers will go through appropriate training in June this year, which will be an introduction to the subject of global issues.

Members are volunteers and their journey will be controlled as far as its possible.

The terminus , Strasbourg, was selected because of a location of European Parliament.

In Poland, the venue of this events will be Krakow where on august 27 and 28 we are planning to organize picnic in Jordan Park, an open discussion about global and developmental education and a concert. In relation to mutual cooperation and invitation to participation in a Krakow part of EURIZONS we will contact you .

At this moment we are doing recruitment of project members- hitch-hikers. More details and appendixes You can find on a site:www.eurizons.net .
