23rd Wroc³aw Marathon
The marathon took place on 24 April 2005.
The winners: Reuben Toroitich 27, and Richard Rotich 31, both Kenyans
came first.
The tradition of organizing marathons dates back to 1983, when 131 runners
raced from Sobótka to Wroc³aw in the 1st Marathon of Silesians. After
10 years the next 9 marathons took started to commence in Wroc³aw. During
all these years concurrently with the marathon there were European Championships
for the Veterans in marathon, 61st, 62nd,63rd,65th, 66th, 67th, 68th and
69th Polish Championships in marathon. Currently the marathon is organized
by Wroc³aw Marathon Association with a great help from the city authorities.
